Description

Red damask skirt with pleats and embroidery. Across the top is a wide cotton waistband with with three rows of frog closures. The red damask is woven containing bat, Buddhist and Taoism motifs. On the edges of the skirt are black borders with lotus and peony motifs and the eight Buddhist objects in blue, white and gold. On the front and back are polychrome panels of figures in a garden in pink, red, gold, yellow, blue and green. The inside is unlined.
