Description

Children's drawing on cardboard. The composition is divided into vignettes. The middle of the drawing contains the head and shoulders of a young man wearing a green shirt. A dialogue bubble containing numerous Spanish words has been drawn above the figure's head, and two small drawings of hands holding envelopes (one addressed to Mexico and one addressed to El Salvador) have been drawn below this figure. The left side of the composition contains two scenes. One of these scenes depicts four children in orange tops and navy blue pants playing a sport on a grey playing field, and the other scene depicts eight children sitting in a classroom facing a female teacher. The right side of the composition contains three scenes. The scene at the top shows a male figure reading a book at a desk. The second scene involves a male figure reading a newspaper. The third scene, in the lower right-hand corner of the drawing, consists of a male figure wearing a red top watching television. On the reverse, a sheet of lined paper measuring 22 cm x 16 cm has been taped in two corners to the back of the cardboard. This sheet describes the drawing in Spanish. The artist's name has been written on the back as well, on the cardboard itself.
