Description

The head of a doll (see record for 1057/11 for the doll body shown in image). The face is painted white with grey eyebrows, black diagonal eyes, rosy cheeks, and a red mouth. The hair is painted black. The ears have gold earrings, above which, at the side of the head, there is a rectangular olive green patch of fabric with a green and white centred pink flower(?), and a red diamond or scallop shape. The elaborate gold-coloured headdress is decorated with coiled metal wires with black beads and shimmering dark blue-green beads along the front.
