Description

A long wood mask (part a) painted dark brown with black curvi-linear lines. The vertical oval eyes have protruding cylindrical pupils. There is a ridge all the way down the middle of the face, extending to the long rounded curved nose that touches the bottom of the mask. The nose has a tusk curving upward at either side and is decorated with shells. There is an angular protrusion at the bottom of the mask. There are seeds and cowrie shells decorating the outer contours of the mask. The top of the mask has dark brown curly hair. There are some fragments in a small box (part b).
