Description

Wheel-thrown dish with flat base that flares outwards to a bowl without a lip. Exterior has an off-white slip.

Narrative

May have been either imported into Egypt or made there in Canaanite style during the Hyksos period or 18th Dynasty when the material culture was influenced by people from Canaan living in Egypt.

Inscription/paint on interior of dish appears to be modern and the black paint on the rim could have been added after antiquity.
