Description

Gourd container with a geometric design of copper wires that have been inserted into the surface.

History Of Use

Zulu style snuff container. According to ‘The Art of the Personal Object’ (National Museum of African Art): "The decoration of these containers is achieved by drilling small holes into which short lengths of wire are inserted to form triangle, diamond or circle motifs."
