Description

Astucia cape of black velvet, heavily decorated with sequins. The cape is semi-circular with a collar and ties at the neck. The collar is decorated with various-coloured star-shaped sequins. The rounded edge is scalloped, and lined with a short gold fringe. The sequin design features a large bronze muscular devil in lime green pants, crouching low. Two large teal wings with silver and gold outline spread out on each side, and curve with the shape of the cape. The devil has red horns, nails, and talons at the tips of his wings. Lined with shiny red fabric.

History Of Use

Devil masks and costumes are performed during the Christmas pastorelas in Tocuaro, Mexico.
