Description

Square ceramic tile from a set of nine tiles (parts a-i) that, when positioned together, form the upper left corner of a larger pattern. Surface and left side are glazed. White border along left edge, with inner white border towards centre of tile, dividing tile into two vertical rectangles. Left rectangle is slightly thinner than the right. Both rectangles have dark yellow backgrounds. Stylized dark red triangle along top edge of left rectangle and stylized dark red rectangle along bottom edge. Both are trimmed with white. Light blue floral motif inside of triangle. Rectangle is filled with floral motifs done in white, dark blue and light blue. Two groupings of three dark blue and red flowers, with thin green leaves, between the triangle and rectangle. Right rectangle has assortment of dark blue and red flowers with thin green leaves and stems. Handwritten inscriptions on back of tile.
