Description

Painting on a rectangular piece of slightly warped bark; depicts a spirit figure. The background is painted orange-red, figure is beige and wearing a wide-brimmed hat and full-body suit. Face of figure is rectangular, and has black eyes and a wide frowning mouth. Arms are held up and knees are bent, with feet turned toward one another; figures spans entire bark piece. Both hat and suit have an alternating stripe pattern, done in red, white and dark yellow; stripes are made up of cross-hatching. Cuffs, neckline and centre of full-body suit have beige bands with red dots throughout. Identically patterned beige bands extend from elbows and connect to knees; two striped bands extend from bottom edge of hat and connect to feet. Rectangle protrudes from bottom of figure's body and has two beige points along the bottom edge; rectangle decorated with the alternating stripe pattern.
