Description

Goblet-shaped drum (part a) with animal skin stretched over the top. Skin is secured with seven removable wooden pegs (parts b-h) and fibre cords. Bottom edge of skin is trimmed with braided cotton(?); loops knotted throughout trim. Two braided plant fibre bands wrap around body and are strung through loops; pegs fit in between cotton and plant fibre. Thick braided cord attached to bands at top and a plain piece of plant fibre tied around base; used as a carrying strap. Long neck in between head and base of drum; protruding lips where sections meet neck.
