Description

Rectangular felted wool mat with floral beadwork pattern. The first stem has two flowers, one with rounded light pink petals outlined in red, and the other with pointed pink petals outlined in light blue. The short centre stem has one flower of overlapping rounded grey-blue petals outlined in dark blue. The third stem has three off-shoots with a flower at the end of each. Two have red pointed petals, one outlined in pink and the other in light pink, and the third flower has rounded blue petals outlined in light blue. Backed with two pieces of felted wool that are stitched together down the centre.

Narrative

The donor and his wife, Grace Okada, lived in Nahanni Butte from Sept 1990 to 1993.
