Simple interlocking coiled work; parallel slat foundation (with large reinforcement stitches); flange (slat) for lid is indented 1" or so at top. Foot: two staggered rows of red cherry bark. Body: front and back; eight checkerboard designs in red with two black central ones. Sides: two larger versions (in red) of the same form; all designs set against white bullrush.
