A) Skin bag with a central strip of red and white quill decoration. The bag has a long cord attached made from plaited gut, with a blue, white and red woven end decoration. B) Similar bag to A) inside which it is kept. It has a central fringe of red cotton but no quill work.; Good. Additional description: A) Flattened, creased and slightly warped. Very fragile and brittle. A number of small holes over surface and a small circular repair on one side. Red edging at mouth of bag. Toggle at end of cord. B) Flattened, creased and slightly warped. Very fragile and brittle. Paler in colour than A. Red edging along top and sides. (J.Tanner, April 1998).

BagA2.74

The bag is rectangular, white and shiny with a thin red band along the opening. The bag is made from narrow strips of seal intestine sewn together with thread. There are eight strips on either side of the bag. The seams between the strips show traces of white feathers and red and green wool decoration.

Light brown, translucent anorak, or hooded coat, made from strips of intestine sewn together horizontally; the centre of the strips of intestine are marked by a long silvery grey streak. Long sleeves and hood with drawstring. Appears to be machine stitched.

Basketry Pouch1570/38 a-b

Two small light brown basketry woven pieces with horizontal rows of dots and a design along the middle and a rounded bottom. The first piece (part a) has a design on one side which consists of an orange centre through which pink lines create an x-shape that has pink points in between each of these four lines, and the other side has a a similar design with a white centre and blue lines and points. The second piece (part b) has a design that consists of a pink, a blue, and a pink horizontal row along the middle all around the piece.
