The item search helps you look through the thousands of items on the RRN and find exactly what you’re after. We’ve split the search into two parts, Results, and Search Filters. You’re in the results section right now. You can still perform “Quick searches” from the menu bar, but if you’re new to the RRN, click the Search tab above and use the exploratory search.

The white textile has a brown brocade pattern and is composed of three full loom widths and a part of a fourth. A decorative figure eight stitch in two alternating colours joins the loom widths. Each panel alternates areas of lighter and darker supplementary wefts. The pattern of nested diamonds with straight and serrated edges entirely covers the cloth in rows. The entire fabric is cut in two, transverse to the warp direction, and crudely sewn together, matching up the designs. There are no warp selvedges. S-spun-warp and weft of ground cloth. S and z spun supplementary weft.
A thick red candle with relief decoration in horizontal bands. Textures are impressed, then highlighted by addition of glittery gold, silver, blue and green paint, green foil and sequins. Patterns include floral, geometric and figurative (Llamas and Lambayeque style figures).
A gold coloured, foil band with three rows of foil discs. The discs are attached by fine metal hooks which allow the discs to move freely. The two ends of the band have matching holes.
A tall, dark brown wooden cup with a flaring rim. Two geometric motifs alternate in two rows and cover most of the outside of the cup. Nested squares alternate with a six-sided repeated design. A band of connected diamonds encircles the mouth. A narrow metal strap encircles the cup and holds together a vertical crack. The crack is filled with a black substance. A white sustance, probably sand, fills some of the incised designs. Some cracks, chips and insect damage.
