Rounded, circular flaring, fibre woven container that has a bowl shape. Exterior has intricate white beadwork on cloth backing in geometric horizontal, concentric bands. Lower beadwork is 7.7 cm. deep. with 'extending' beads above, and a pattern of x's, vertical lines, x's with red fabric underneath, x's, x's with green underneath, ,and vertical lines at the centre. Upper beadwork is 2.5 cm. with a pattern of alternating red, green, and gold-coloured sequins outlined by white beads around the sides and the top, x's, and 'dangling' beads below.

Metal kris with a curved, damascene blade (part a). Upper portions near the hilt are carved. The hilt is dark yellow ivory carved in the form of a demon with his right arm grasping a dagger behind the head and his left hand at his side holding up a thumb and two fingers. His right leg is turned around backwards and his left leg is straight. Figure is sitting on a carved stool. The blade is fixed into the hilt by a gilded ornamental ring containing five glass stones: two red, two blue, and one clear. One side of the wood sheath (parts b-c) has natural dark blotches while the other side is plain.

Rod PuppetB376

A three-dimensional wood puppet of a human figure. The elaborate headdress which curls back upward and forward is painted black, blue, gold, red, and green. The face is painted white with black facial features and a red mouth with a moustache. There is a green downward pointing triangle outlined with red and black painted on the chest. There is a black and red shoulder band and wrist band on each arm. Wearing a red, brown, and white batik skirt with a bronze-coloured fabric belt. Body is painted gold. The arms are riveted at the joints with string and have a wood marionnette stick.

A figure that probably represents a demon motif (A.H.). Traces of gilt and colour. Has a face. The long hair at the back is accentuated with knobule protrusions. Figure's right arm is bending over the back while holding a pointed object (dagger/knife?). On a circular pedestal decorated with rounded red dots.

Shadow Puppet1374/29

A flat tall puppet painted yellow-white. Represents the character Arjuna, Pandhawa Prince. There are red eyes and the three upper teeth are white. The curly black hair curves backward and upward, and are tinged with gold along the edges. The lower garment is finely perforated with a red, green, blue, and gold design. The feet and the head face to the puppet's right. There is a gold necklace with a green pendant. Two gold shoulder rings and a bracelet are on each arm. The shoulders and the elbows are rotatable and a marionette stick is attached through the palm of each hand.

Large pink, cream, gold, and green coloured garuda figure. Ornate gold coloured headdress with scrolled black sculptural curl on top of head. Figure has bent legs and arms, and hands curled at the side of the torso. Part b is a long multi coloured piece of wood that has carved feather-like designs on it. It tapers at one side. Part c and d are long multi coloured wing-shaped pieces with scalloped and pointed protrusions along the edges.

A basket made from palm leaf strips vertically stitched together with fibre to create a bowl-shape. The outer surface is almost entirely covered with beadwork over a dark brown-black cloth. The circular base is left un-beaded.
