Medium sized, high-shine glazed bowl with curved edges and an unglazed light grey foot. The exterior glaze is dark black-brown progressing to a lighter brown towards the base. The interior glaze is red with black and dark brown designs. The rim is copper, black and light green. DEXTER inscribed on base.

Tall cylindrical jar. Neck is concave with a flaring rim, and a smooth slope to the sharp shoulder. The body is made of 9 long, somewhat irregular facets. A thick glaze covers the jar inside and out in a mix of dark yellow, red and black. The base is unglazed.

Jar2894/2 a-b

Tall cylindrical jar with lid. The jar’s body is slightly concave, flaring at bottom as well as top to where a wide mouth contains an inner rim to hold the lid (part b). The base angles inward to a smaller round foot. The body texture is of small encircling lines and is glazed black and orange-red. The interior of the pot is white with a small amount of orange. The lid sits down inside the pot’s rim and is round and shallow with a tall, thin round handle in the middle. The lid is orange on bottom and top outer edge, with a black centre and handle. The top of the handle is also orange. The base is stamped with an oblong circle with an ‘I’ shape in the centre.

Small rounded jar, vertically oblong. A small mouth is encircled by a tall and slightly flaring neck that narrows toward the shoulder and contains a spout on one side. The pot sits atop a small round foot. The body is glazed a uniform shiny black, while the neck is a flat brown, the mouth orange. The foot is unglazed. A maker’s mark is carved into the foot--possibly a flower or looped initials.

Dark brown cylindrical jar with an interior round opening passing from top through bottom. The piece is possibly a candle holder. At top there is a small mouth with a thick rim, surrounded by a large round plate. Beneath this is a thick round neck, leading to a slightly wider midsection with several irregular squared facets. Below is a long, concave base with a single carved hole close to the bottom. The piece is glazed a uniform dark brown, with an unglazed bottom.

Small multi-coloured square jar, with rounded corners and large indents in each side. The shoulder is sharp and angles toward a straight sided, round neck. The round foot angles slightly inward. The glaze is brown with some areas of specked greenish blue and specks of black. The interior is speckled white and black. The base is unglazed.

Cylindrical jar, rounded, that inclines slightly toward the top. The shoulder is high and lightly angled toward the thin neck. Atop the neck is a wide round rim. The jar has a round base, only slightly smaller than the bottom of the jar. The jar is glazed a matte mottled grey brown, with a pattern of wavy and crossing lines carved horizontally around the body. The shoulder and neck are a matte brown, and the rim is a very shiny dark brown. The base is unglazed, and a dark orange colour. An artist signature is carved into the foot.

Small weaving sample, woven on a loom, made of dyed wool and another fibre (packing material ?). The textile is rectangular, with uneven sides. At top and bottom are thick strips of white and yellow weaving. Between them, the body of the work is a random mix of dark blue, yellow and white fibres, with specks of orange.

Round coin with denticles around edge. One face has a central design of an eagles head. The words, "BRITISH COLUMBIA"and "1977" are above the design and "Norman Tait," "NISHGA DOLLAR" and "CURRENCY VALUE $1.00 EXPIRES MAY 31, 1977," are below it . The other face has a central male bust wearing a frontlet. The years, "c1833" and "1928," are to either side of the head and the name, "MOUNTAIN" (a Nisga'a chief), is below the bust.
