A mallet shaped ceramic vase with an angled rounded lower body which angles inward, tapering into a cylindrical neck that has two handles in the shape of a phoenix. Foot ring cut from base. Light yellow-brown body with thick, opaque, grey-blue-green slightly lustrous glaze covering entire vessel, stopping just short of base. Glaze has wide crackle, yellow-brown in colour. Paper label reads "1 JLS 2.2".
A ceramic bowl. Narrowly fluted, curving into shallow circular unglazed foot and base. Thin white porcelain body covered in very pale light grey-green glaze with a bluish cast, which pools in pale green drops just below the outer edge of the rim. Glaze slightly glossy in places, very matte in others. Interior has glaze pools in shallow circular groove at bottom, which encloses some irregular pooling which may obscure a decorative motif. Paper tag on exterior near base reads "17 ljs .5."
Bowl with three red bats on outside. Inside of bowl and handle are three red flowers. There are five black calligraphy characters inside bowl. Bowl's edge is wavy and, along with the handle's edge, is rimmed with gold. Red square signature on bottom.
Bowl with flared top and rolled mouth rim. Rim at base is raised 1 cm. Inside bottom is convex with blue-grey mark in centre. Double line around inside near bottom. Glaze is smooth, but rough inside under glaze. Free style flowers, leaves and fungus around outside.
Bowl with light blue glaze with dark blue designs on outside of a berry and flower spray, grass and 3 circles. The foot ring is 1 cm. deep with a double blue circle on outside. Single blue line around base of bowl on outside. Blue line around outer side and on inside lip. Blue dot inside at bottom and double blue line inside near bottom.
Robe made from one piece of black satin, lined with red cotton. Open at sides and front with a narrow white collar. Two larger medallions at the chest and centre back as well as six smaller on the arms bottom back and bottom front, all with the same crane design embroidered in satin stitch with gold couching around head and eye. Two red cord ties attached at chest.
Upper surface of hair ornament has two bands of geometric designs along edges and come together at a point on both ends. There is a central lengthwise ridge. Flat in the middle and upward wave on both sides. Signed in calligraphy at middle of back.
Proscenium arch style curtain composed of 3 equal length panels (parts a-c). All panels are polychrome embroidered satin-finish silk backed with canvas. One panel (b) is hung horizontally with left and right vertical panels (a,c) hanging down each side. The horizontal panel has two dragons face-to-face over a ringed circle. The bottom edge is scalloped and decorated by multi-coloured tassels. The vertical panels are identical, but with the designs reversed. They have a dragon's tail and central 6 tiered pagoda. Other designs are all symbols in Chinese cosmos. The curtains are hung by numerous cloth straps (part d) which are looped through metal brads in the top of each curtain.
White belt embroidered with dark blue thread. Horizontal bands of geometric flowers. Seam at center of belt. Three sides embroided with zig-zag blanket stitch. One side hemmed to reverse side.
Rectangular, brocade textile of cream fabric with a dark blue design. The wide variegated border has band of octagons and squares with flowers; narrow rinceau flower border above and below. Lower segment, wave and pondweed design. Lower edge hemmed with triangular design. Upper edge selvage, side edges unfinished.
