Xianfeng tongbao (top-bottom-right-left) in formal style Chinese characters are on the obverse; boo ciowan left-right (mintmark) in Manchu are on the reverse. Extra metal is on the outer rim top-left; extra metal is inside the inner rim; outer rim is not smoothed.
