Small totem pole with three figures. Topmost is a bear figure with a black body, green arms and legs, a red snout and eyes and red dots covering the body. The middle figure is wolf-like with a red body, black arms and legs and green dots covering the body. The bottom figure is a bird with a green head and body covered with black dots and red and black striped wings. The word "Esquimalt" is roughly carved across the lowest portion of the pole. The pole sits on a black and brown base.
Tool made from a large, oval piece of coarse stone and a thick wooden handle. The dark stone has a deep groove around the middle and another groove that runs perpendicular to the first one, around one end of the stone. One end of the thick wooden handle is rounded, the other end flares. The flared end is carved to fit lengthwise over the stone with several grooves. The leather lashings are wound around the stone and the wooden handle; the grooves in the stone and wood holding the lashings securely in place.
Circular, handheld drum made from hide stretched over a wooden frame. Drum has four lengths of wire across the back with cloth covering the centre juncture, forming a handle. Drumstick (part b): head of drumstick covered with black cloth; small section next to head painted green.
Off-white woven goat wool blanket with herringbone twill weave and dark red trade cloth woven in along the top edge. Feathers and cedar bark are included in the weave. Fringe along one side.

The rattle is carved in two parts and is hollow. The top section which includes the head and tail (handle) is one piece, the body is hollowed out then the lower section carved to fit and is joined with nails to the top section.
