Square ceramic tile with floral motifs carved in relief across front. Surface is glazed. Entire tile painted brown-orange. Four flowers face away from a small dot at the centre of the design. Petals of each flower span entire tile edge, connecting at the corners, forming a border. Space between flowers forms an “X” shape. In the arms of the “X” are small flowers inside circles, surrounded by dots. The circles are connected to the large flowers with curved lines. Small circle and large circular outline imprinted on back of tile.

Square ceramic tile painted black with light grey-blue designs overtop. Surface is glazed, sides partially glazed. Border on all sides with rectangles inside of it. Rectangles filled with diagonal lines. Small squares at the tile corners, inside of the border, with crosses in their middles. Central design of a sandpiper, standing on one leg, surrounded by reeds. Raised grid across entire back of tile. Manufacturer’s mark, Minton Hollins & Co., stamped inside grid, with each letter in its own square.

Square ceramic tile with floral and curvilinear motifs painted on front. All sides are glazed. Dark blue triangles in tile corners with white flowers inside of them. Central design of a dark blue diamond with an ornate vase full of flowers inside it. Both the vase and flowers are done in shades of white and light blue. Diamond outline, around central dark blue diamond, done in light blue. Outline full of curvilinear motifs, done in a dark blue. Central diamond and outline bordered by plain white lines. Five horizontal ridges on back of tile. Manufacturer’s mark, Mintons China Works, stamped in between ridges. Inscription on back.

Square ceramic tile with curvilinear motif painted on front. Background is red-brown. Central design of a circle outline with a square in its centre. Sides of square curve inward. Circle and square done in beige with black lines running through their middles. Centre of square is red-brown and has four ovals, with pointed ends, forming a flower-like design in the middle. Ovals done in beige. Two beige ovals, with pointed ends, in each corner of the tile. Sides of tile undecorated. Twenty three holes, four rows of five and one row of three, indented on back of tile. Manufacturer’s mark, Maw & Co., stamped on back.

Square ceramic tile painted white with blue designs overtop. All sides are glazed. Central design of a man and a woman in a field, under a cloudy sky, with trees in the background. The male figure is standing, holding a staff in his left hand and a bunch of grass(?) in his right. He is wearing a wide-brimmed hat, necktie and long coat. The woman is sitting on the ground, pointing at the man with her right hand and holding a bunch of grass(?) in her left. She is wearing a wide-brimmed hat with a ribbon around it, a short-sleeved white over dress and dark blue long-sleeved under dress. “June” is painted in the bottom right hand corner. Seven horizontal ridges on back of tile. Inscriptions on back.

Square ceramic tile with floral motifs carved in relief across front. Surface is glazed. Tile painted dark olive green. Plain, raised line across top edge. Design of a flowering cherry blossom tree branch, with offshoots, covering entire surface of tile. In the background, in the bottom half of the tile, is a rectangle divided into two sections. The section on the left has a diamond grid, the section on the right has circle outlines in rows. Above the rectangle, in the top half of the tile, in the background, there are rows of small flowers, widely spaced apart. Five diagonal ridges on back, with smooth portion in the middle. Manufacturer’s mark, Mintons China Works, stamped on smooth portion. Inscription on back.
