Mottled wood shaft cut and re-joined near the mid-section. Several notches cut below the join. Black iron leaf-shaped spearhead flattened at the base and hammered around the shaft. Iron point of butt similarly attached and secured with two coils of iron band. Shaft below spearhead decorated with flattened brass and incised geometric design.

Light woode shaft cut near the mid-point of the shaft and joined with a plug. Several notches cut in the shaft near the join. Spearhead has elongated black iron blade. Base of the blade hammered around the shaft. Butt end of the spear has flattened blade hammered to the shaft.

Bread Container3577/14 a-b

Bread container (part a) composed of a round basket constructed of woven grasses and thick sturdy leather exterior with a long leather carrying strap. The basket bottom is plain, with plain, bright pink, dark purple and green included in the sides. A detachable lid (part b) is also composed of a round basket with thick sturdy leather exterior. The basketry is brightly coloured in bright pink, dark purple and green, with a subtle plain diamond pattern throughout and plain rim, The lid is attached by a long thin leather strap, which is fed through four loops of leather that are attached to the basket.

Drum3577/7

Double-headed conical drum. The animal hide stretched over both ends. The hide has white and reddish brown hair. Thin strips of skin are used to stitch the two skins together, leaving a zigzag pattern around the wooden centre. Thin strips of skin are twisted to create a handle on the side.

Lyre3577/8

Lyre with a wooden sound chamber covered in leather skin; skin secured with wire. Triangular wood frame extends from top of sound chamber, made up of two arms inserted through the leather and connected at the top by a crossbar. The crossbar is rectangular on either end, with notches that the arms are inserted into, and a cylindrical centre where the strings are attached. Three strings are fastened to three wooden pegs and lashed around the crossbar. The strings are fastened across the front of the sound box to a wire loop. All components of lyre are darkened to dark brown with the exception of the strings.

Long-sleeved tunic. Standing collar with two buttons. Shirt flares out with two side slits - one on each side. Chest pocket on left side of chest. Fabric has subtle raised stripes and zigzags in the material. Patch in centre of chest, which is below but part of the area with two buttons. Three buttons at cuffs.

Knife3577/17 a-b

Long dagger (part a) with leather sheath (part b). Dagger has a long curved blade and a wooden handle. The handle is wrapped with thin brass-coloured wire, with silver-coloured buttons inserted. The pommel ends with a small wooden bowl. The double-edged blade is shaped like an asymmetrical leaf. The sheath (part b) is made of wood wrapped in leather, which is stitched along a centre seam. The sheath has a belt with a circular metal buckle.

Hand Plough3577/19

Wooden hand plough. Two long pieces of wood are inserted through a round centre piece. One end, the handle, is lashed together with plant fibre near the end, and another twisted plant fibre midway down, and the opposite ends are inserted into two metal blades. A third piece of wood, that is slightly S-shaped, is inserted through the round centre piece at an angle. This piece of wood is further attached by a length of skin which is tied to the other two pieces of wood.

Necklace3577/18

Double-ended silver pendant necklace. Two pendants attached by eight long chains, four on each side. Trapezoid shaped pendant has small 3D decoration at centre, surrounded by inset chain. Six metal cones hang from along bottom edge from short chains. Rectangular pendant is has filigree all over and 5 convex metal discs. Along the bottom edge, nine metal cones hang on short chains.

Shield3577/15

Round red fabric and metal shield. Domed form covered with red velvet and thin metal plaques of open form scrolling that are attached with domed pins. There are two horizontal bands of metal, with repeating gourd-shaped pieces attached between, connecting the two bands. The rim has repeating rectangular strips of metal spaced around it. At the centre of the dome, is a circular metal piece, with a projecting part at centre that has been bent inwards. Between the centre and first band are rectangular and circular pieces of metal attached in pairs. The reverse is lined with light orange fabric with hard U-shaped hand grip at centre.
