Pot, rounded overall, with three rounded legs, a geometric scallop design above the shoulder and a lip around the mouth. Glazed from lip to just below the shoulder where the glaze becomes slightly irregular and areas of the underlying red clay show through.

Kente Textile2610/1

Strip of Kente cloth fashioned from three long woven bands sewn together to form a quilt-like pattern of brightly coloured rectangles. Patterns include horizontal and vertical stripes, as well as various geometric designs such as zigzags and diamonds. Textile is woven using different types of thread and weaving techniques. Vertical edges are frayed, and side edges are uneven.

A small wood sculpture of a standing female, on a base. The flat square face eyelids, a grooved horizontal line for the eyes, a nose, and an open mouth. The ears are carved. The stylized hair is high, and rounded, curving around with curved incised lines along the back. There is a short cylindrical neck. The breast point downward and forward while the arms point straight out sideways at a downward angle. Short legs have feet.

Small, rectangular shaped textile. This is a small sample of Khente cloth, which is normally five or six yards long and two yards wide, worn draped around the body and over one arm. Label reads, A.E. Asare and Co. Dento Mills Nsawan, Ghana. Green background with geometric and striped designs in red, orange, yellow; fringed at both ends.
