Figure2827/18

Marble sculpture of a woman's head. The hair of the figure is parted at the top, and it forms into thick twisted strands at the sides of her face. The figure's nose, lips and chin are quite worn. The figure possesses a high forehead and relatively shallow-set eyes. There is a rough, broken surface at the neck, indicating that the head may have been attached to a larger statue.
