Dark reddish-brown spoon with oval-shaped bowl that tapers to a point. Has a carved handle that depicts a human figure in sitting position with legs bent, arms resting on knees, and knob-like protrution coming from head.
Male carved figure. The wooden carving shows a male with his hair in a bun at the top, sitting with his arms folded over his knees. The figure is on a thick base.
Bottle-shaped basketry trap with inverted lid attached. Twined, circular neck flares outwards. Inverted cone lid attached with one strand. Alternating sections of medium flat woven weft and narrow rounded twined weft. Dark brown colour. Loose weaving to allow water in.
Round clay pot with a rounded bottom, a bevelled neck, and a slightly flaring lip. Pressed decoration around the neck; from the lip, there are two horizontal rows of x's, zigzags, two rows of x's, solid diagonal lines crossed with dotted lines, and zigzags.
Hardwood, varnished, flat paddle that is thicker in depth at the handle end which flares outward and then tapers back to a point. Blade tapers to a rounded paddle end. Hole at the angled handle end. Centre of the handle end tapers both to the paddle and to the handle ends.
Large, carved, dark brown-black woodespoon. Oval bowl is 18 cm. long while the handle is 31.8 cm. long. Handle is flat as it extends up from the bowl interior while the other side is triangulated in shape. Top of the handle is thicker at the end and has a hole. Back of the handle has eyes, a nose and a mouth, suggesting a human head.
Dark brown, square, herringbone weave basket (a) with a flat, fitted lid (b). Sides of basket flare out from a bent wood base; upper rim of basket and rim of lid are also bound with bent wood.
Square and flat tray-like object. Outer frame is made of two strips of bent rattan lashed together. An open weave of rattan is strung between the frame in a shallow curved and bowed shape.
Rattan carrier consists of four joined pieces, and a pair of braided straps. Main back piece is flat ; bent frame in the shape of an inverted u; narrow vertical slats run almost the entire length of the frame. Small lengths of frame are left at the bottom of both sides, these may serve as legs. Slats are lashed to four cross-supports which are attached to the frame with braided rings. Sides are oval panels ; bottom is semi-circular panel; each has own bent frame. The panels are moveable, can fold flat against main piece. Straps are attached at top of main piece and ends loop around 'legs'.
Circular, Very dark brown-black rattan chicken cage with a wood base. Weave is an open diagonal design with the mid-way weave becoming denser and forming a knob with a handle on the top. Wood door with five holes drilled around the edge is attached to the bottom half of the cage with string.
