Shallow basket woven of grass in natural, dyed shades of red and green. On interior, a red starburst shape radiates out. It is outlined in natural colour. The background is filled in with green fillets. A single row of natural colour finishes off the bottom. The rising sides are a geometric pattern in red, green, and natural, finished off with one row of natural fillets and a second row of 9 cm. Wide strips of red and green.

Shallow basketry tray woven of grass, natural and dyed, in shades of red, green, yellow, and blue. Design is over-woven with coloured fillets of grass in natural, green, yellow, and red, in form of outward radiating star shape. Background is filled in with blue. Around circular bottom is row of red. Rising sides are woven in red and natural grass inverted triangular shapes, above which a row of green and one of alternating yellow and orange bands finish the basket.

Plain, unornamented basket. The warp cane strips radiate out from the centre with the woof strips weaving in and out in a very simple weave. Around the top several strips of cane have been lashed on in several places on the outside and inside of the basket to bind the warp strips. The top row has been closely coiled with a fine strip of cane to finish the basket.

Ikat-dyed design on fine hand woven blue cotton. Weft ikat dyes create objects of red and green, softly outlined on white on a black ground in three broad bands: (a) two bands of architectural structures, (b) central band of human and tree figures. Other bands of blue and white; checkered green, black and white outlined in red; checkered yellow and purple; single band of blue with white geometric designs, run between three broad bands above. A vertical leafy runner motif woven in white threads dominates upper field. Lengthwise border stripes are yellow and white on blue. Un-numbered end has broad redish-purple band outlined in white, dark blue and yellow. Numbered corner has paper label: 'NO. VR 28 WIDTH 105 LENGTH 205 RETAIL SALES PRICE 25 65 KHADI GRAMODYOG BHAVAN MADRAS'

Ikat dyed design on fine woven black cotton. Two bands at each end display weft ikat dyed geometric motif. These are offset by solid bands of red or green and a multistrand cotton in red, white, and yellow is interwoven in a checkered design. A tiny motif in white or red is embroidered at wide intervals on centre field. Ends have two rows of only warp threads.

Blue and dark red machine made cotton textile has been hand embroidered and hand sewn. Partially lined with light green floral print cotton fabric. Two large orange squares below bustline, decorated with metal thread, and other traditional stylized designs, both floral and geometric, are inset with small pieces of mirror. Extensive use of chain, buttonhole, plain, satin, and square stitches in orange, blue, green white, black, red, and silver.

Small drawstring purse of black velvet. Lined with unbleached mill cotton to form three pockets. Drawstring works so that it can be pulled to open and pulled to close using different strings. Tassels of wrapped pink silk thread bound in metallic-covered thread decorate the black cotton cord of the drawstring.
