Doll-sized basketry cradle. Red and light yellowish strips of bark are woven into the basketry on outer sides in a repeating step pattern. A light coloured, curved wood handle is tied on near the head of the cradle with strips of soft rawhide and several more strips are knotted on at either end and inside.

Part (a) Elongated rectangular coiled basket (bifurcated stitches) with attached lid and front tie closure. Parallel slat base and lid construction. Fully imbricated in cat-tail grass (?) with geometric diagonal stepped rows alternating in red and black cherry bark. Part (b) Lid has flange. Rim is imbricated in cat-tail grass (?) and the surface of lid is beaded in rows of red and dark cherry bark. Rawhide hinges and tie closure.

Berry BasketD1.460

Large flared rectangular coiled basket (bifurcated stitches) with skin tumpline and string ties. Parallel base construction. Upper portion of basket is fully imbricated in cat-tail grass (?), with bow tie-like design, outlined in dark cherry bark and red cherry bark with two thin parallel vertical lines in red cherry bark. Lower portion of basket has alternating vertical bands of "cluster of flies" checkerboard pattern, in cat-tail grass (?) with red cherry bark, and cat-tail grass (?) with dark cherry bark.

Doll Carrier1719/9

Small oblong-shaped doll carrier, or cradle, with plastic doll wrapped up in strips of cedar bark. Cradle has arched handle attached to one side. Skin strips attach to handle and opposite end of the cradle. Cradle is decorated with alternating sections of diagonally stitched white cedar root and cherry bark around its perimeter. The lower portion of the cradle has evenly spaced checkered sections of white cedar root and cherry bark.
