Six figures in red and bullrush (two on each side, one on each end) of complex vertical double arrow design (may be a floral representation. C. White.). Three looped hide thong handles. Colour: tan.

Flared rectangular coiled basket (bifurcated stitches) with parallel slat base construction. Imbricated with same vertical rows on three sides, in "cluster of flies" checkerboard pattern in cat-tail grass (?), red and dark cherry bark. Back side has narrower version in width of two stitches. Remains of dark cherry bark beading along rim. String loops through two corners on one long side. Rawhide front thong.

Small rectangular coiled basket (bifurcated stitches) with foot. Parallel splint base construction. Remains of loop work rim. Fully imbricated design of two diamonds on long sides, one in red cherry bark with cat-tail grass (?) and dark fibre center and the other reverse, inside a dark fibre square and inside a red cherry bark square, all on cat-tail grass (?) background. Short sides have "half arrow head" designs in two parallel vertical bands in dark fibre, red cherry bark and cat-tail grass (?). Rim is bordered in black cherry bark and looped border inn red cherry bark. Foot has three alternating solid rows in dark cherry bark, cat-tail grass (?), and cherry bark.

Straight, hafted adze with narrow metal blade. The leading end flares to a slightly curved sharp edge. Bound onto a wooden handle with rawhide ties. Handle has shaving deflecting upturned ridge at the front and a bulbous grip at the back.

Simple coiled work basket with bifurcated stitches. Every fourth row is decorated with horizontal beading in a white coloured grass. Elongated watch-spring base construction. Cross-stitch edging on rim, which is partially beaded. Holes remain where handles were once attached.

Basketry TrayA2374

Black and tan basketry tray of simple coiled work with unsplit stitches on the base and bifurcated stitches on the sides. Coiled handles, splint rim, and partial beading and imbrication. Two cross shapes in red flanking a tri-colour diamond shaped with random beading in the centre. Sides of the basket are beaded in red near the rim and feature a series of three staggered red stitches (one in cat-tail grass and one in red cherry bark, and then again in cat-tail). Some are beaded and some are imbricated.

Rectangular flared, coiled basket (bifurcated stitches) and parallel slat base construction. Upper half of basket is fully imbricated with the design in black bark of mirror image geometric scroll shapes on each side. Bottom half of basket has imbricated "flying goose" design, alternating in rows of red and black bark with grass in between.
