Standing figure holding a fish in a container. The figure is wearing a straight hemmed parka with the hood down at back. Round head with hairline outlined, oval eyes, straight mouth and triangular nose. Faint lines indicate brows and goatee-like beard. Only the fish's head shows above the figure's hands and appears to come out of a bag-like container. There is a line at parka hem and cuffs, boot uppers have a vertical line at centre front and are lighter on top of foot. Figure stands on a small base. Tag on bottom reads 'J. Itukala Port Harrison.' Inscription on bottom reads '1-01531' -- letters, too faint to read, and a copyright sign '75' ?
Seal pup with back flippers pulled back and touching. Parallel channels match up on each with a notch on each raised area between. Front flippers are pulled up in front and are notched and channels as back ones. Rounded snout has upside down y-shaped mouth with nostrils above and whiskers, indicated by dash lines, on the sides. Widely spaced oval eyes on sloping face. Head is rounded at top. Plump body is convex on bottom and there are three oval eyes on sloping face. Head is rounded at top. Plump body is convex on bottom and there are 3 oval circles on each side. '5-42670', 'ED' and a copyright mark are inscribed on the bottom.
Stylized, seated gull carved from weathered whale bone. Dense bone appears only at top of head and along part of one side. The rest is porous, darker bone. Bird's head is raised up with open beak and circular indentations for eyes. Series of parallel channels indicate wings. Clawed feet extend slightly out at front.
Minature kayak with long bow tapering to a blunt point--widest just behind u-shaped cockpit. Cockpit is closer to stern than bow and has a raised lip and cavity which appears to have been drilled out, not completely finished. Stern tapers to a point. Side view shows a relatively flat bottom rising to a point at bow. Bottom is slightly bowed up towards stern. Mottled dentine runs the length of kayak and shows on sides and bottom.
Walking polar bear with left legs slightly ahead of right legs. Long neck with tapering head ending in flat snout with nostrils and slightly curving mouth. Small round eyes below sculptured eyes. Black pigment has been applied to eyes, nostrils and mouth. Mottled dentine shows along centre of underside.
Stylized form with three heads along top of curved, fused limbs. Arms or forelimb below lowest head with face in vertical plane facing out from the long axis of the sculpture. All the faces are framed by what appears to be a parka hood and have recessed oval eyes, straight noses and mouths. Second, larger head rests on sloping back and faces up. Third, angled head faces out above what appears to be legs. Mottled stone has a series of longitudinal fissures, or cracks, one of which has been repaired with glue. Carving marks show in some areas. Series of characters are inscribed along bottom. Label on base.
Seated bird with a very long neck, and mermaid-like creature holding onto neck with mittened hands and her tail resting on the bird's tail. She has one circle in oval eye, the other is a slit with crease-like lines radiating out along that side of her face. Her mouth is closed. Her hair is indicated by many fine lines and she has very long rabbit-like ears lying along her back. The bird has concentric circle eyes and a short beak. There is a chip in the mermaid's tail.
Seated duck on rimmed base with wide rounded beak and round eyes. Head curves back into neck. Oval body, pointed to the back and with curved line outlining front of wings and v-shaped lines at the back on each side. Disc number on bottom reads 'e9-1771'. Sticker reads '122' and '322'. Two green felt rectangles are glued to bottom.
Walrus with head facing up and aligned towards one side. There are deep parallel channels on back and one side, following contours. Long tusk extends down from whisker lined face, broad snout and small oval eyes. Flippers have notches or channels in from edges. Small hole at back beside v-shaped back end. 'E9731' and 3 characters are inscribed on bottom. Sticker reads '117'.
Part of a skeletal figure (a) lying on its back with a bird-like creature (c) hovering above. The two figures are connected by a 3-sided antler column (b) which is notched and rounded at ends where it fits into holes in the stones. Skeletal figure has a segmented chest with hands grasped together at the bottom, a wide grinning mouth with a square and a round hole at eyes and a triangular hole at nose. Base is rough and lighter grey. Bird has notched v-shaped wings on top with its head bent over, looking down. There is a horizontal tube-like projection under its neck. The inscription on the bottom reads '5-99518'.
