Print is matted on a piece of white-yellow paper and has an additional cover page that folds over the print. A printed inscription on the cover page reads: " KAMBARA From Fujimiya Station, walking along the old road, then across the Fuji River, one reaches Iwabushi, and finds the same geographical features as pictured." There are Japanese characters at the top, bottom, and side of the printed message.

A printed inscription on the cover page reads: "HAKONE Generally considered the most unique of the Tokaido series. It is an unusual example of a very fine print using only primary colors. The view which shows in one picture Mt. Komagadake with Mt. Fuji on the opposite side of the circle of the lake, is particular ingenious." There are Japanese characters at the top, bottom, and side of the printed message.

The cover page has a printed inscription that reads: " HIRATSUKA Just beyond the present Hiratsuka Station, approaching Oiso, on the Tokaido Railroad Line. The round-topped mountain is Mt. Komayama; Mt. Fuji and Mt. Oyama are to the right." There are Japanese characters on the top, the bottom and the side of the printed message.
