Male kabuki figure (Kanjicho) (part a) with a dark pink face and dressed in an elaborate kimono. He is holding two scrolls (parts b-c), one in each hand and carrying a sword. Colours are predominantly black, gold, and white. The costume originated in the Kamakura Period (1185-1333). Label reads "Japan". Standing on a black rectangular base.

Part a: Folded shin guard that tapers slightly at one side, is rounded at the top, and five brass fasteners on each side. Part b: Shin guard that has been folded out. Has scalloped edge at the bottom and a rounded edge at the top. Has five brass fasteners on each side. Both are plain black with ties.

E-sugoroku game. Rectangular sheet of paper covered with a woodblock printed scene that shows firemen, known as hikeshi (火消し), on ladders in acrobatic positions on the upper portion, with a crowd of men gathered together observing them in the lower portion. Predominant colours are blue, green, black and brown on an off-white background.
