The scroll is mounted on grey-green paper printed with a silver floral design; wound around a wooden baton. When wound closed, the scroll is tied shut with a length of blue cord printed with a white crisscrossed pattern.

Woodblock PrintN2.780

Print on a heavy weight white-yellow coloured piece of paper depicting a rainstorm in the mountains. Men carrying a kago with a straw coat thrown over it, two going up the hill and two others rushing down to seek shelter. Print has a white-yellow coloured paper matte that flips over the image. An additional white-yellow cover page covers the top of the both the matte and the print. A smaller, black and white image of Japanese characters has been placed in the centre of the white-yellow cover page.
