A rough-surfaced, very visibly flaked, mottled yellow-grey stone that has an oblong rectangular shape with both sides slightly curving convexly and tapering at an angle, creating an edge at one end which is more flared than the other end.

An arrow shaft made of a variety of pitpit (sword grass). The shaft is light brown with a black coating. The fore-shaft of black palm wood is round in cross section and narrower at the point end. This has been incised with deep longitudinal and short transverse lines. The insertion into the shaft has been secured with a sleeve of woven rattan. Sleeves and fore-shaft are coated with red ochre.

A pipe of a very smooth light brown wood with dark grain. The long tube is symmetrically flared at both ends, which are blackened with smoke. The mouthpiece end is concave.

A very long band of natural-coloured braided bark to which are attached cowrie shells arranged contiguously, each approximately 2 cm. long. Attached with bark cord, which has been threaded through the ends of each, there are two adjacent shells, which are then tied to the band. Contains 342 cowrie shells.

A band of two circles crossed twice, creating four lengths, woven in a natural light brown bark fibre. On all edges of the band, there are horizontal rows of white beads (including one orange and two red beads). Partially coated with a white substance.

Ear OrnamentIe329 a-b

A pair (parts a-b) of earrings consisting of an end section of snail (conus?) shell. Shaped like a 'c' with a small opening (.5 cm.). Convex side is smooth while concave side has natural concentric grooves. One earring (part a) is more yellow in colour, slightly narrower, and less regular in shape while the other earring (part b) is white.

An apron shaped like an extremely elongated oval and netted of bark fibre. The mesh is approximately 1 cm. Marsupial hairs are incorporated to form longitudinal stripes approximately 3 cm apart, with thirteen stripes in all.

A container made from a dark brown gourd shaped like a sphere, from which the top one-third has been cut away. A hole is bored near the rim for insertion of a cord of braided root(?) 21.5 cm. long. The main design consists of an incised band around the rim consisting of a single line with a herringbone pattern.

A plume cluster of black cassowary feathers, approximately 27 cm. long, bound to a piece of rattan cane, 36 cm. long (to the binding) with a band of bark cord, 9 cm. wide. The band is coated with yellow ochre. Two small pink feathers are attached to the end of the plume.
