Headdress in the form of a bird with the head and chest at the front, and two wings folded over a tail at the back. The figure is painted white with a black animal figure design on the chest, the outlines of feathers on the wings and tail in black, the eyes and eyebrows in black, and the mouth in red. Off-white fabric attached with metal nails behind chest. One of a set of four (see A6154 - A6157).

MaskA6151

Carved wooden, crooked beak mask. The beak has red, snout-like protruding nostril with a series of black and white s-shapes above. Running from the brow is a central black frill, outlined in white, that protrudes outward then curves downwards to the top of the beak. The mouth is red, flat and protruding. The underside of the beak is natural with black, feather-like detailing. The bottom parts of the beak are hinged with rectangular pieces of rubber. The eyes are black, outlined in white and red on a white ovoid shaped ground; brow is black. The inside of the mask is hollow with the exception of pieces of fibre twine that articulates the beak. The top and sides have small bundles of small stripes of cedar bark. The mask is painted black, white and red with Northwest Coast stylized forms.

Warrior dance knife, or baton in the form of Sisiutl. One side is carved but unpainted. The other side has a central frontal head with two upward and outward curling horn-like appendages at the top and a profile head on either side, each of which has another upward and backward curling horn-like appendage at the top. Painted green, white, black, and red.

Necklace with multicoloured beads of varying sizes, some multi-faceted, some spherical, including: red "white heart" beads and "Russian-type" beads. The beads are strung on off-white string and one orange-brown bead is strung on a loop of string that hangs to the side of the rest of the beads.

Bentwood BoxA4372 a-b

Cedar bentwood box (part a) with a lid (part b). All four sides made from a single cedar board, steamed and bent into three right angle corners. The open seam is nailed together. A separate cedar board is nailed on to make a bottom. Lid is constructed of a cedar board with one side of having an upturned flaring edge.
