Carved whale bone bearing a bird, two creatures, a frog and a human. On the reverse the bone is incised with concentric and chevron designs which appear to have been an earlier decoration since they have been removed where the carving has tapered and shaped the bone (G.Crowther).; Good

A hat of woven cedar bark, inverted bowl shape. Although this hat has a location it is missing in 1993, and was noted to be missing in 1981.; Good

A wooden halibut hook. This hook is listed as missing in 1981, but may be one of the unnumbered hooks given Z numbers, Z 34968-73. However it is impossible to accurately assert which one it may be (G.Crowther); Good

Twentytwo loose dentalium shells.; Good

Rectangular cedar box in the characteristic kerfed style. The box has a lip at the rear of the removable lid. The front and two sides have grooved panels while the back is plain. The edges have been bent and one edge pegged closed using wooden pegs. At the top of the two sides are two pairs of holes suggesting the box may have had a handle. Around the box is cedar bark rope tied in a net-like manner which was used to secure the lid in place. The cedar bark rope is rather frayed and fragile. The box appears to have been used judging by its external appearance, while inside the box is in relatively good condition. Inside the packing box is a piece of wood with a flange round three sides and two notches cut into the other. One side of the wood is painted with black stripes. This piece of wood does not appear to be connected with the box, and does not have an accession number, it is a mystery (G.Crowther).; Good

Four bows. A) A sinew fronted bow with curved nocks. The grip is made from hide, and the bow is still strung with twisted sinew wrapped in fur covered leather, portions of which have worn off. B) A sinew fronted bow with curved nocks. The grip ismade from hide, and the bow is still strung with twisted sinew. C) A wooden bow which is mainly curved at the nock ends. The nocks have points which have slight flanges to hold the string in place. The bow has fairly wide flattened arms which are contracted at the grip. The bow lacks a string. D) Long un-bent bow made from fine-grained wood with notched nocks and slightly flared arms which contract at the grip. The grip is cherry bark lashed round, with a large tuft of reddish hair. Down the centre of the back of the bow a groove extends to the nocks. In cross-section the back edge is flat and the front- edge is curved. The bow string is made from twisted sinew and is broken.; Good

Harpoon for whales. The catalogue card details the following information, found on an old card on Mr.Paterson' s desk . Harpoon with metal point, elk horn barbs decorated with Haietlik, i.e the mythical snake. It is said that when the thunderbird wishes to kill a whale he hurls the Haietlik at it, which spears the body of the whale like a harpoon. The rope is made of whale sinew strengthened in twine. The loop is covered with cherry bark. The harpoon head is covered with spruce gum. The line attached to the harpoon head is extremely long and thick. This harpoon is very probably 1925.333 as the description of the two objects is identical and one, 1925.333 is listed as missing.; Good
