The shaft is without linear designs above the cane joints. The base of the shaft, near the pointed end, is wrapped with an alternating natural and red coloured thin cane strips. The point is plain dark wood with a coil-wrapped tip.

Tip is composed of several long, pointed sticks that emerge from the base of the handle and splay outwards towards the bottom of the instrument. They are attached at the base of the handle with braided plant fibre and held together with cord midway towards the pointed tips. There is a pointed stone at the centre.
