Strip of animal hide, with rectangular cut-outs is attached to body as handle. Wooden hoop stitched to top of mouth. Stitched with split root or basswood fibre.

Pair of adult snowshoes; bent wood frames with (moose ?) hide lacing (untanned). Mid-section wider weave than front and back section. Front cross-baton holds heavier lashing for front toe hold. Back baton also holds lashing. Hide strips wound around sides at mid-section hitch made from 1 inch lamp wick. Back section of shoe frames are nailed together. Tufts of red wool attached to front and sides as decorative elements. Traces of white paint at the front tips of the shoes.
