House Post3289/60

Painted house beam. Object is a slice of a tree trunk, covered in white plaster on the front, with the bark left on the back. The part that has been plastered is painted with natural pigments. The beam would be read bottom to top. At the bottom is one of the patron saints; San Juan Bautista. In phrases divided by various patterns, such as flowers and llamas, the beam depicts a range of daily activities such as sowing seeds and weaving. The persons represented are named in writing. At the top of the beam is the sun.

Woven table runner with bands of solid colours and repeating designs running down the length of the textile. From the centre band of orange, repeating on each side: medium pink, red, light green, dark green, and then band of repeating rectangles of light blue and light purple with various animals designs, bordered with thin bands of white with a brown wave throughout. Then yellow, pink, brown. The edge of the textile is finished with embroidered diamonds.

Poncho composed of two rectangular pieces of woven fabric, sewn together on one edge with a head hole at centre. Short knotted fringe lines both sides. Two horizontal bands decorate both front and back; a thin band near top, and thick band near the bottom. The garment slightly tapers in.

Small finely woven square bag. Body composed of two squares, stitched together on three sides, a long thin rectangular strap and three brown, black and white pompoms evenly spaced along the bottom of the bag. The body of the bag is black, with three bands of brown, grey and black lines and designs running vertical. The strap is black and brown with a brown line dotted by white running down the centre line.

Small square finely woven textile with a tassel of light and dark brown extending from each corner. The band through the centre features a geometric design in dark brown on light brown, with a contrasting strip through the centre in medium brown and purple. Bordered by solid grey bands, and then a smaller band of a broken zigzag pattern. The remaining textile is light brown.

Carrying Band3295/51

Rectangular woven textile with two braided ties extending out on either side. The textile is composed of multiple pieces of weaving, stitched together. The two main rectangular pieces are attached along the edges with loop-stitching, leaving a small opening at the centre along a long edge. One side is solid brown except for stripes of red and dark blue running horizontal. The reverse side is three embroidered squares with geometric patterns, divided by solid bands of red.

Finely woven textile composed of two rectangular pieces sewn together. Down the centre line extends a band of burgundy-purple with small flowers of various colours. On either side, a band of chevron-style zigzags in beige, yellow, dark green and dark purple. Six solid bands of dark blue-black or black with dotted lines of colourful stitching separating each design. The main body of the textile is solid brown. The textile is edged with a band of burgundy, and one edge has pink triangular stitching.

Small Nasca style contemporary stirrup spout pot. Vessel is round with curved unfinished bottom, slightly taller than wide. Top is enclosed and has two spouts emerging, connected by a small curved bridge at their midpoints. Spouts and bridge are dark brown. Upper body is decorated with a figure that wraps around the pot. The lower body is decorated with a repeating geometric pattern. Collector's sticker and red dot sticker on base.
