Stone Sling3151/17

Wool sling. Thickly woven cord is stiff down its length, varying in width: thin at top, thicker at bottom, and at centre becoming wide and flat across a short span to accommodate a projectile object. Cord is patterned in triangular and herringbone designs. Base of thicker end is covered in a fringe of undyed yarn and green and pink tassels, and cord splits into four smaller pieces each holding a tassels of a single colour in green, purple, orange or pink.

Hair Tie3151/16

Wool hair tie. Woven cord is long and thin, made of many strands of dyed wool in red, green and pink amongst raw light brown. Along the length of the tie at regular intervals are woven red flower motifs. Each end holds a double row of small white beads, with pairs of the same situated evenly along the centre portion of the cord.

Wool hair tie. Woven cord is long and thin, twisting down its length, made of many strands of dyed wool in red, green, pink and unprocessed tan. Strands are woven to create a pattern of thin horizontal lines alternating red and tan, between edging of pink and green. At somewhat irregular intervals along both edges of the cord are attached small white glass beads.

Hair Tie3151/13

Wool hair tie. Woven cord is long and thin, splitting into five branches at its end, two of which split into further branches, totalling 13. Several of these are spiralled along their length. Tie is made of many strands of dyed wool in red, green, pink and unprocessed tan, woven into designs such as dots, ‘x’ shapes, bows, and triangles, each branch differing from the others. Ends are unwoven and hang as tassels. At somewhat irregular intervals along both edges of four branches are attached small glass beads in a variety of colours.

Wool bag. Small purse is square, woven heavily with designs such as floral motifs, diamonds, and ‘x’ shapes. A thick pane of long fringe hangs from its bottom, decorative remnants of the fibres the bag was woven from. A second pane of shorter fringe is attached to three flaps on the front of the bag. A long ribbon-handle is woven from wool and sewn to the sides of the bag. Its yarn contributes to the pane of fringe.

Wool bag. Small purse is roughly square, decorated with vertical stripes in various widths, in colours of brown, red, yellow, and pink. Designs in ‘x’ shapes, squares, butterflies, diamonds and other motifs are done in light tan over the stripes of colour. Back and front are relatively identical. Bag opens to top, with sides stitched together on the exterior.

Wool bag. Small purse is square, with a long, thin handle that has come unattached from one side. Bag is heavily woven with tan and dark grey triangles on a red, orange or pink background, interspersed with vertical lines in yellow-green, red and other colours. Handle has diamond motifs in red on a tan background. A thin fringe falls from the ends of the handle.

Wool bag. Small purse is roughly square with a fringe at bottom, decorative remnants of the fibres the bag was woven from. A long, thin handle is attached at upper corners. Front and back being similar, bag is decorated with a central diamond shape filled with floral motifs, surrounded by ovals, lines and other small shapes in pink, orange, red and purple on a tan background. Fringe is of the same colours. Handle is tan with small squares of red along its length.

Wool bag. Small purse is square, with a black lining, and a long, thin, ribbon-like handle. Bag is decorated with vertical stripes in various widths, in colours of dark red, tan, grey, pink, blue and orange, with three strips of a loose herringbone weave in tan. Back and front are nearly identical. Handle has a dark wave motif on a multicoloured, striped background.
