Bag3151/7

Wool bag. Purse is rectangular, a single piece of weaving that has been folded over and sewn closed on bottom and one side. Bag opens to the top. Colouring is dark red with thin horizontal stripes in groups consisting of tan, black, blue, yellow, and brown. Single black lines sit between the groups. A small red tassel is attached to bottom corner.

Cocoa Cloth3151/6

Cocoa cloth. Textile is roughly square, hemmed along the edges, with groups of large tassels at each corner. Stripes are wide blocks of brown, tan and grey, with a panel of embroidery at centre showing repeating floral motifs in tan on a red background. At edges are rows of pin-striping in colours of pink, green, red, blue and yellow. Tassels are made of strands of twisted wool, several attached by thin cords woven with tiny white glass beads incorporated into the construction.

Cocoa cloth. Textile is roughly square, hemmed along the edges, with groups of large tassels at each corner. Stripes are wide blocks of brown, tan and grey, with a panel of embroidery at centre showing repeating triangular and floral motifs in tan on a red background. A strip of embroidery in bright yellow, green, white and pink runs across the centre. At edges are rows of pin-striping in multiple colours. Tassels are strands of twisted wool, several attached by thin, multicoloured cords.

Shawl3151/4

Woven wool shawl. Narrow vertical lines of interspersed colours in dark grey, light brown and medium brown cover the shawl, with two areas near each end of wider lines in black, brown, grey and tan. The silhouette of an alpaca is woven in black into the tan. Ends of shawl have sparse fringe of light tan wool.

Poncho3151/3

Wool poncho. Garment is rectangular in shape, consisiting of two nearly identical peices of cloth sewn together in a thick stitch at shoulders, leaving an opening for the head and neck at mid-point. Background colour is a light brown, with horizontal stripes in two panels at top and bottom in colours of red, green, blue, pink and others. A single green line runs between the panels.

Wool textile. Piece is rectangular in shape, with a thick cord edging sewn along all sides. Stripes fill the textile, with wide bands of light tan interspersed with thin lines in groupings of dark pink, red, orange, grey and green. Narrow lines of pattern in grey and pink sit atop the tan. Cord edging has a repeating diamond-shaped pattern in dark red, orange and grey.

Hair Tie Ornament3133/35

Large hair tie piece with pompoms. Made up of 9 strands consisting of a tightly woven round cord at top, then a thick pompom of fine thread, two or three wide, flat cords, and ending in another pompom. A single round cord topped by a loop and pompom holds the nine strands. Each cord is multiple colours; pompoms are primarily dark pink or dark red, accented with one or more shades of green, purple, blue or orange.

Hair Tie Ornament3133/34

Two hair ornaments connected with a thin black thread. Each consists of three thick, tightly woven cords, with two pompoms attached to each cord, one at centre and one at bottom. One tie has orange cords, the other purple and white, both with areas of chevron patterning, and both with pompoms in a single colour: purple, orange, yellow or green.

Woven wool textile. Dark brown and tan textile consists of two separate but identical pieces sewn together at midpoint. Decoration is dense and consists of a series of parallel lines of varying widths across the centre and along the short ends in orange, green and purple on a tan background. Several patterned lines are incorporated showing four legged animals, birds, and other motifs in tan on top of the coloured lines.
