Woven, wool hat, conical in shape with two long rectangular ties. The body of the hat is detailed with a red geometric pattern with stripes of orange, brown, red and burgundy on a light brown ground. There are two triangular earflaps decorated with cream buttons bordered on each side with small white beads. Both of the ties are bordered with small white, blue, yellow and pink beads. There is a fuchsia tassel on the top.

Unfinished HatSf1064 a-i

Unfinished, woven wool hat (parts a-i) consisting of the bottom section of the hat (part a), five metal knitting needles (parts b-f) within the weave and six rolled pieces of yarn. The red, green and cream yarns are still attached while the orange, yellow and navy (parts g-i) are not. The hat has a scalloped edge, a stripe of a red and yellow wave pattern on a navy ground followed by a green and white chevron pattern on a red ground with an orange stripe running throughout.

Spoon shaped stick pin with deep embossing and cut detail of a scallop pattern edge, a ring of floral design, a ring of repousséd ovals with a central green piece of glass clasped by four metal triangular pieces. Top, central, large scallop has a white bead on one side and orange on the other. A long, pointed, pin is riveted to the top and bottom of the disc; a short metal piece, with a rounded top, stretches out from the scallop.

Two bronze spoon-shaped pins (part a and b). Part a: long, thin, slightly curved handled pin with a scroll pattern at the base of the bowl. Pat b: short, thin, slightly curved handled pin with broken ends at the base of the bowl decorated with a repoussé leaf pattern. Both parts are held together by a red piece of twine.

Textile composed of a rectangle of bark cloth folded in half with two edges perpendicular to one-another sewn together and the remaining edge is left open. There is a segment left open at the centre of one sewn edge and there are two holes extending inwards slightly from the corners of the perpendicular sides. The off-white cloth is decorated with rows of stitching 1 1/2 to 2 inches apart in blue, pinkish-purple, reddish-brown, and off-white.

Hat with wide brim and domed, off-white wool (?) crown. The brim is covered in white, orangy-pink, red, brown, black, and dark pink feathers, there is a woven band with a floral and geometric design in yellow, green, blue, white and red at the base of the crown, a row of purple feathers that stick up above the band, and two long tufts of pink, yellow, brown, black, orange, and red feathers tied to sticks protrude upwards from the sides of the crown.

Hat1044/1

Bowler style brown felt hat with domed crown and upturned brim. The base of the crown is decorated with a an orange-brown ribbon bow that has an off-white plastic oval ornament at its centre and a llight brown cord with tassels at the ends. The edge of the brim is finished with a wide band of orange-brown ribbon. The inside of the hat is lined with red fabric and plastic. There are two gromits on either side of the crown, and there is a leather band at the base of the crown on the inside.
