Poncho3133/22

Wool poncho. Woven garment consists of two separate but identical pieces sewn together at midpoint (shoulders) where it is folded in half, and has a hole at centre through which fits the wearer's head. Weave is tight and un-patterned, with decoration consisting of a series of lines in red, brown and dark blue/black at shoulders and hem, with several raised, patterned lines incorporated.

Poncho3133/21

Wool poncho. Woven garment consists of two separate but identical pieces sewn together vertically at midpoint with a broad 'x' stitch. Poncho is folded in half at shoulders with a hole at centre creating a 'v' shape on front and back through which fits the wearer's head. Weave is tight with several vertical stripes of red and green across surface, with area near edges holding large stripes of the same, outlined with narrow stripes of blue, yellow and pink. A small white 'W' is embroidered on one corner at bottom.

Wool poncho. Woven garment consists of two seperate but identical peices woven together at midpoint where it is folded in half, and has a hole at centre through which fits the wearer's head. Piece is wider at shoulders, narrowing slightly toward bottom. Weave is tight and un-patterned, with decoration consisting of a line of dark blue edged in light blue at bottom on both front and back, dark blue edging along bottom hem and around neck hole, and short, dense fringe along both sides.

Braided sling. Long and thin, made from a braid of light brown wool with a central oval shape, open at centre, made of thick, flat, woolen cord in dark brown. Sling is decorated to either side of oval with white patterning.

Woven belt. Belt is narrow, with a fringe of three thick, braided strands at one end. Across surface of garment is a repeating diamond-shaped motif with birds, butterflies (?) and other designs along the edges, in a light tan colour on a background of dark red and green horizontal stripes. Colour scheme is reversed on other side of belt.

Across surface of garment are narrow horizontal lines in tan and brown, with a centre strip of dark blue and brown-red showing bird and other motifs in tan. Woven belt. Belt is made of two pices of fabric sewn back to back to increase garment's thickness. It is narrow, with a long fringe of thick braided strands at one end, attached at their tips. Across the surface of both sides are evenly spaced vertical lines of red and tan crossing over thin horizontal lines of bright pink, green, and yellow.
