BagSf919

Rectangular red bag with a long woven strap and five, large threaded tassels at the bottom. Five pattern stripes are arranged symmetrically with the largest in the centre flanked by narrow stripes with white squares. The central stripe and the outer stripes have geometric and figurative motifs and are edged with blue and green stripes. A four strand edging, twined and sewn, covers the seams and edges.

Loom, consisting of a narrow warp-faced band partially woven and still attached to a pointed ground peg. Two sets of multi-loop needles and two single-loop heddles attached to unworked warps. Nine motifs of worked-in white threads on a red and green background. Motifs include a bird, a reverse curve, a cross, diamonds, and circles. Colours are inverted on the other fabric face. Small blue skein of weft attached.

Conical shaped stocking cap with a predominant red tassel on top. The upper portion is white with one pattern band near the tassel; the lower portion is red and divided into four pattern bands. Two pattern bands repeat a floret motif connected by a stepped diagonal. One pattern band has motifs of six-part circles, profile standing birds, s and z shapes and crosses. The final pattern band has interlocking s shapes. The patterns are orange, pink, blue, green, yellow, orange and navy. Cap is dirty and pilled.

A conical stocking cap with alternating dark red and dark blue patterned bands. The red pattern bands all repeat a six part floret joined by oblique stepped lines. Most of the navy blue bands alternate the eight part circle with other motifs, including profile birds, crosses, butterflies and cows. The top has a yarn tassel and the bottom has a band of checkered squares.

A triangular knitted cap with three geometric, floral, and bird patterned bands separated by rainbow colour bands. The hat has been shaped by cutting and machine and hand stitching. The lower band repeats interlocked hook motif. The middle band repeats florets joined by stepped diagonal lines. The upper pattern band has eight part circles, butterflies and birds. The plain colour bands are graduated in value and hue to produce a glowing effect.

A long stocking cap with a tassel on the pointed end. The top half is plain white and the bottom half has five bands of motifs on a dark red background, each separated by blue lines. Three bands repeat an eight part floret connected by an oblique stepped line. The two remaining bands have birds, circles, crosses and reverse curves.

Belt formed by a narrow woven band with white figurative patterns in off-white worked against a background of dark red and green. Images of birds, a llama (?) as well as abstract motifs like circles, diamonds and crosses are arranged along its length. The other face of the fabric has figure and ground colours inverted. One end is finished with a braid, and the opposite end consists of loose wool strands.-

Partially finished cap on knitting needles, with two colours of yarn attached. The knitting is mounted on four needles and the circular fabric is folded in half. The needles, including the fifth for transferring stitches, are lined up parallel and bound together with the unused yarn. Rows of geometric patterns in white, blue, and green, divided by thin blue lines. Checker effect of blue, red and white along edge.
