Figure2827/36

Cast bronze sculpture of a standing male figure, nude but for a cloak and winged hat, which indicates that this is a representation of Mercury. The cloak hangs over the figure's left shoulder and forearm, and he is holding a purse in his right hand. The figure is holding a contrapposto pose. The musculature of the sculpture, as well as the ears, eyes, and hair, is well defined despite the worn nature of the bronze.

Cast bronze sculpture of Apollo. The figure, standing in a contrapposto pose, is nude except for a wreath on his head and a quiver slung over his right shoulder. Both hands of the figure are missing, though the angle of the right arm suggests that he probably held a phiale in his hand.
