Mask1183/17

A papier-mache mask painted gold with red decoration. There is a headdress. The bulging eyes ar cut out, and so is the rectangular mouth with four fangs and teeth. Another bulging eye is sideways in the middle of the forehead. There are fibre string knots at the back.

A carved wood figure of a horse and rider on an oval base. The horse has its fore-legs upraised as it rears upward. Its long tail extends downward to the base. The horse has eyes with three eyebrow lines. Carved grooves make up the mane which is thickest at the centre while finer at the sides. The rider is sitting on a hatch marked saddle. The rider has a flat-topped head, three horizontal grooved lines for the eyes, a triangular nose, thin legs, and long arms extending into the bridle. The entire image has a flattened view to it.
