The figure wears elaborate jewelry, a high headdress, and is bare to the waist with a flowing lower body garment. White stripes are painted across forehead, arms, chest and stomach.

Shorts have a drawstring waist with an orange band around the waist and legs. The back is decorated with starburst and flower shapes with horseshoe shapes on each side. Front is decorated with horseshoe motif and male figure outlined in white braid inside. Around waist are rows of fine yellow braid, sewn by machine.

One side has a seated anthro-zoomorphic figure with head of elephant and body of man with four arms, each holding distinctive object. Mouse in front of figure. Lettering in an Indian script. On the reverse side is a seated human figure in ceremonial dress with four arms, one of which holds a spear. Peacock at the figure's left side. English inscription: 'Chithra Bag Works Madras-7.'

Zigzag trim in fine white braid around each leg and three rows of fine braid also encircles the waist. The front has a starburst pattern and a stylized design in blue, white and gold applique and white and black braid. The waist has a drawstring.
