Light leather jacket with fringe and beadwork. The jacket has a standing collar, long cuffed sleeves and centre opening with brass 'Canada' buttons. There are floral motifs beaded on the centre opening in two colour schemes; red, white, blue and red, blue, green, orange. There are two large pockets on the lower front with beaded floral and leaf motifs. The upper back has beaded floral and leaf motifs. There is a thick fringe across the back and down the back of each sleeve. The cuffs have beaded circle and floral motifs. The inside is unlined.

Printed on the cover in black ink: "Dominion of Canada Maple Leaf C Note Book," with a large maple leaf in the centre. Spaces at the bottom on the cover for name, address, and school are filled in with "Stoney Indian Drawings / Morley, Alberta." Inscription at the top of the cover reads "Jean Telfer / Class 4."
