Very small bucket shaped basket with black geometric decoration.; Good

A bucket shaped basket with three geometrically decorated bands of false embroidery, two of interlocking lines, the other of widely spaced orange diamonds with black arrowhead-like designs on both sides. The catalogue card states A basket of bucket shape with thin handle, decorated geometrically with black and with 4 orange diamonds . It was added in 1986 by E.C a basket with 4 orange diamonds in the decoration but no ?handle was interpreted as possibly being this one. Good

Small platter basket decorated on both sides with a combination of false embroidery and woven rings. The designs are in dark brown, red, yellow, green and dark orange. The platter has been damaged, having two pieces missing.; Good

Tlingit basket in poor state of preservation but an old specimen with native dyes , as the catalogue card states. The basket is finely woven from spruce root with a false embroidery design made from grass and possibly maidenhair fern. The design has two bands of red and dark greenish black pattern which is a variation on the butterfly pattern identified by Emmons (1903:263-277). The central band is composed of stepped cream and reddish brown lines. The basket has been stitched together.; Good

A) Skin bag with a central strip of red and white quill decoration. The bag has a long cord attached made from plaited gut, with a blue, white and red woven end decoration. B) Similar bag to A) inside which it is kept. It has a central fringe of red cotton but no quill work.; Good. Additional description: A) Flattened, creased and slightly warped. Very fragile and brittle. A number of small holes over surface and a small circular repair on one side. Red edging at mouth of bag. Toggle at end of cord. B) Flattened, creased and slightly warped.
