Leggings, called sakhsiksumsa, wraps one side of the leg, were sometimes made of trade cloth with a design in applique. Navy blue woolen blanket material forms the background, which is appliqued in red trade cloth. The figure represented is recorded in George Emmons's collection notes as a sculpin, a spiny fish with a very large mouth, which was a crest of the Ganhada phratry of the Tsimshian.
