Model Canoe2791/8 a-d

Model canoe with four seat boards, a mast and 2 paddles. The canoe (a) has an identical painted green, white and black design on each side of a fish with large teeth. Black and red lines decorate bow and stern. The mast (b), with painted red and black rings at top and centre, fits into a cross piece on canoe. Both paddles (c,d) are painted red, green and black but paddle (c) has a painted red handle and raven with open mouth. Signed by artist at stern.

Model Totem Pole2791/7

Carved and painted model totem pole nailed onto square base. Pencil marks are visible beneath the red, green, black, red, white and yellow paint. Represented, top to bottom, are a small eagle with white head and yellow beak perched atop the curled tail of a killer whale with narrow pointed dorsal fin diving down to touch the head of a seated bear with red front paws raised up in the air.

Small pot-shaped spruce root basket with handle (a) originally had three legs; one now missing and one detached (b). Coiled root handle hangs from two loops at neck. Elongated wave pattern of dark brown circles around shoulder.
