Round base with flaring walls and a round mouth. Walls decorated with four horizontal bands of dark brown stitches alternating with red-brown stitches. Two band rows alternating with two bands of three rows. Reinforced wrapped rim. Base started with a checker weave while the remainder of the base and just two rows of the side are in an s-twist.
Cylindrical basket with an opening and a base that are circular. Braided rim folded inward and secured with a row of plain twining. Sides are decorated with three bands of dark brown plain twining alternating with brown plain twining.
Flared cylindrical basket with a circular base and a mouth yellow-brown base demarcated from the walls by raised row of alternating stitches in two yellow-brown and one brown. Sides are decorated with a wide band of light yellow, in two groupings, one of two rows and one of seven rows. Band of red-brown above with yellow-brown sideways v's top band is yellow-brown twining. Rim edge warps are folded and secured with two rows of raised twining.
Curved silver spoon with an oval bowl and a tapering handle with a profile bird-head finial. Features of bird-head extend out from the handle with the crest and brow band on one side and a jaw line below. Iris and brow band are slightly raised. Engraving includes details on bird's head, including a split u on the crest, an ovoid eye, and mouth and lines indicating the nostril and feathers. Angled ovoid in ovoid on the neck (handle shaft) u-shapes, split u's, and s-curves to large angled ovoid where handle widens to the spoon of the bowl. Wing and tail-like appendages on either side of the ovoid. 'Ketchikan' is engraved in a curve in the spoon bowl.
Face painting stamp carved from one piece of wood with a plain handle, oval in cross-section. The stamp is of a hand with a concentric ovoid palm and four digits curved to one side and tapering to the ends, all carved into a flat surface. The reverse side of the stamp is plain and flat with sloping sides. A hole pierces through the back of the handle from side to side.
Black rectangle divided into four quadrants. Each quadrant consists of a separate stylized image. Across the top, there are two figures underneath a red gable roof. Above, there are black diagonal lines on the left side and a notched black line following the roof to the right side. Frontal figure on the left side has arms raised beside the head. A red three digit hand on the right side holds a red split u in a black u form while the black hand on the left side has five digits. Has a black ovoid head with black eyes, and the other features are red. The shes has two red split u's in black u forms with a red line at the centre with rib-like red lines below. Large black ovoid in ovoid below with red legs bent up to the sides ending in round black feet with a single digit appendage. Large figure at the top right has arms raised to either side of the head. A five digit black hand is on the left side while a three digit black hand is on the right side. Black outlined hat over black ovoid head, black eyes with the other features in red. Series of black split u's, red u fomrs, and black u forms give a robe appearance to the body with large black ovoid in ovoids at the knees. Bottom right has a red circle with radiating red lines to the quadrant edges and an elongated salmon-trout ovoid across the centre. Bottom left has a diagonal frontal frog-like face with three digit limbs to either side and a crosshatched triangle filled lower half of quadrant. Divided from the frog, top right to bottom left, by notched red band, there are circles and split bands on the right and the bottom. Pencil inscription across the bottom edge reads '25/75 15/8/77 THE WEGET LEGEND Roy Henry Vickers TSIMSIAN TRIBE KITKATLA B.C.'. There is an embossing on the lower right corner for 'NORTH WEST COAST INDIAN ARTISTS GUILD member' with a salmon-trout head at the centre. The print is on a relatively square, light brown paper piece.
Helmet-style sea lion(?) headdress, with rounded head and flattened snout. Blue head with red around blue nostrils, in open mouth, scribbled below curved eyebrow bands and in crescent shapes on each side of snout and below mouth. Copper discs in eyes, nailed at centre and outlined in relief oval-shape. Open under mouth. Head is 2 pieces nailed together. Series of holes on top of snout, each side. Five holes (for teeth) on lower portion of mouth. Numerous scrapes on top and sides of head. Chip on mouth.
Stylized configurative animal image in black form line with orange-brown detail. Animal lies on its back with flipper-like appendages overlapped at the top. Large black ovoid body with a flattened long edge at the top. Upside down salmon-trout head at the centre outlined by black with an orange-brown split u and s-shapes to the sides. At the left top, there is black u form with two orange-brown u forms inside, each of which has an ovoid at the top all outlined with a u-shaped orange-brown line. Flipper-like, black appendage to the right is crossing the second which starts at the right end of the u form. Neck stretches out to the right with four evenly spaced orange-brown s-shapes along the interior. Large circular, black eye is followed by a tapering snout with an orange-brown u form and five horizontal, red whiskers pointing to the left side. Sweeping black line from the ovoid to the right bottom divides into three. Two close, parallel black lines run horizontally behind the animal. Two segment, discontinuous black horizontal line across the top has four and five orange-brown tree-like vertical lines, respectively. Pencil inscription across the bottom edge '61/195 3/7/78 NORTHERN FUR SEAL Roy Henry Vickers'. The print is on a horizontally rectangular, light white-brown paper stock.
Stylized image of a house front. Gabled roof and outside supports in red-orange bands. House front design is bilaterally symmetrical. Three wedge shaped vertical elements hang under the eaves on each side of the roof. In the house, there is a frontal humanoid figure at the top centre on top of a black rectangle with circles off centre. To either side, there are large profile whales curling and facing inward with the ovoid head to the centre and the black outlined split u to the outside. Red outlined horizontal band above the house tapers to the right with two notches, one at the centre and one to the left. Random series of red outlined circles between the band and the roof on the left side. Stylized frontal bird with profile head facing to the right side above a profile curved whale facing to the left side. Both in black, curving form line, ovoids, etc., with secondary elements in brown. Bird's eye is ovoid with ovoid centre surrounded by a tapering oval. Beak follows a curve from the top of the ovoid to a blunt end. Beak is slightly open with a brown tongue. There are two brown u forms behind the mouth. A brown u forms and split u are beside the eye along the beak. Wings on either side have vertically aligned ovoids in ovoid followed by two brown u forms on the right and one on the left, then three elongated split u forms along the body. Tail has two red u forms above three longer ones. To the right of the body, there are two rows of brown u forms. Lower limbs on either side of the body and tail ending in circle variations. Two vertically aligned brown u forms between the body and the left wing. Two horizontally aligned u forms between the body and the right wing. Wedge of brown u lines above. Whale has a black circle in circle eye and a snout that is u-shaped with a brown u form and two brown split u's at the centre. Slightly open mouth with a top row of even teeth and a segmented brown tongue. Pectoral fin at the bottom next to the head is a black ovoid within ovoids followed by a brown u form u at the centre. Dorsal fin is the tail of the bird. Body of whale has black outlined brown rib-like bands on either side of a split, curving brown centre line. Tail at the right bottom has a black circle at the centre and flukes to each side. Two brown u forms of varying sizes on either side. Pencil inscription across the bottom reads '88/150 23/4/79 RAVEN and WHALE Roy Henry Vickers'. Embossed circular stamp at the lower right reads 'Canadian Native Prints Limited' with a salmon image at the centre. The print is on a vertically rectangular, white paper stock with four deckle edges.
